Beverly Hills SBR 55% Solid Content is a high-solids styrene–butadiene rubber emulsion formulated to enhance the performance of cementitious mixes. When used as a partial replacement of mixing water or as a bonding slurry component, it improves adhesion to existing concrete and masonry, reduces shrinkage, and enhances flexural and tensile properties of mortars and screeds. For typical bonding slurry and mortar applications, the product is diluted by adding 4 to 5 parts of clean water to 1 part SBR, and this diluted polymer is then mixed with about 6–7 parts of grey or white cement to form the required bonding coat or modified mortar system. It is suitable for internal and external works including repair mortars, polymer-modified screeds, waterproofing layers, and bonding coats between old and new concrete when applied on properly prepared substrates.
