Product Selection Guide

Choose T2 – 600 × 600 Tile Adhesive when:

  • Working on fresh cement-based walls or floors.
  • Higher bond strength is required than a standard C1 adhesive.
  • Constructing premium residential or commercial spaces.

Designed for Modern Large-Format Tile Installation

Beverly Hills T2 600 × 600 Tile Adhesive is a high-performance polymer-modified cementitious adhesive specially developed for fixing modern vitrified, porcelain, and ceramic tiles up to 600 × 600 mm on fresh cement-based substrates.

As tile sizes continue to increase, conventional cement mortar often fails to provide adequate adhesion, leading to hollow tiles, debonding, and cracks. T2 offers improved bond strength, excellent workability, and reliable long-term performance for larger-format tile installations in residential and commercial projects.

Approximate Coverage

Notched Trowel Approximate Coverage (20 kg Bag)
8 × 8 mm 38–45 sq.ft.
10 × 10 mm 28–35 sq.ft.
12 × 12 mm 22–28 sq.ft.

Practical Site Estimate

Approximately 2–2.25 bags per brass, depending on tile size, substrate flatness, and application method.

Mixing Instructions

  • Add 5.0–5.2 litres of clean water to one 20 kg bag.
  • Mix thoroughly using a slow-speed mechanical mixer until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved.
  • Allow the mixture to stand for 3–5 minutes, then remix briefly before application.
  • Do not add additional water after the adhesive begins to set.

Application Procedure

Step 1 – Surface Preparation

Ensure the substrate is structurally sound, clean, level, cured, and free from dust, grease, oil, paint, curing compounds, or loose particles.

Step 2 – Mixing

Prepare the adhesive according to the recommended water ratio until a smooth, workable paste is obtained.

Step 3 – Adhesive Application

Spread the adhesive evenly using a suitable notched trowel. For vitrified and porcelain tiles, back-buttering is recommended to achieve maximum adhesive coverage.

Step 4 – Tile Installation

Place the tile firmly with a slight sliding and twisting motion to ensure full contact between the tile and adhesive. Use tile spacers to maintain uniform joints.

Step 5 – Finishing

Allow the adhesive to cure properly before grouting and opening the area to foot traffic.

Best Practices

✓ Use back-buttering for larger vitrified tiles.

✓ Periodically lift a tile to verify at least 95% adhesive coverage.

✓ Use a level substrate to minimize adhesive consumption.

✓ Maintain consistent joint spacing with tile spacers.

✓ Store bags in a dry, moisture-free environment.

Avoid These Mistakes

✗ Do not install tiles larger than 600 × 600 mm.

✗ Do not add cement, sand, or other additives.

✗ Do not apply on dusty or weak substrates.

✗ Do not add water after the adhesive has started setting.

✗ Do not fix tiles beyond the adhesive’s open time.

For tile-on-tile renovation, use Beverly Hills Tile-on-Tile Adhesive. For tiles larger than 600 × 600 mm, natural stone, porcelain slabs, or high-rise façade applications, upgrade to T3 Jharokha, T4 Column, or T5 Flex.

💡 Pro Tip

Larger vitrified and porcelain tiles have very low water absorption, making them harder to bond than ceramic tiles. For the best results, use a notched trowel and apply a thin layer of adhesive on the back of the tile (back-buttering) to achieve nearly full contact and long-term durability.

One suggestion for consistency

Since you have two products with the C2T classification (Tile-on-Tile and 600 × 600 Adhesive), add a small line under the title:

  • Tile-on-Tile Adhesive: “Specialized for renovation and fixing new tiles over existing tiles.”
  • 600 × 600 Adhesive: “Specialized for fresh installation of large-format tiles up to 600 × 600 mm.”
