Talc Powder

Mineral talc (soapstone) powder is a very soft, white to off‑white hydrated magnesium silicate with a plate‑like particle structure that gives excellent smoothness and slip.​

In paints and coatings it improves coverage, matting, scrub resistance, anti‑settling and overall durability while helping to control gloss.

In plastics and rubber it acts as a functional filler to increase stiffness, dimensional stability, heat resistance and impact strength, and to reduce shrinkage and cost.

In paper and board it is used as a filler and coating pigment to improve printability, opacity, surface smoothness and to reduce pitch/stickies in the process.

In agro/animal feed and fertilizers it helps as an anti‑caking, free‑flow and carrier material for actives, improving handling and uniform application.

In cosmetics, personal care and pharmaceuticals it provides a silky feel, absorbs moisture and oil, improves compressibility in tablets and helps carry fragrances and actives.

Other uses include ceramic bodies and glazes, welding electrodes, insecticide dusting powders and general industrial applications wherever a chemically inert, smooth, fine filler is required.
